Bus driver not properly licensed during Bexar County accident

When people purchase tickets for mass transit, they expect that the people operating the bus, train or car they are riding in are properly trained and licensed to operate the vehicle. If a person isn't properly trained, they might not know how to fully handle the vehicle or an emergency situation.

According to a report, a passenger bus operated by Leo's Tours was heading to Mexico out of Bexar County when the bus crashed into the car in front of it. Apparently the traffic in front of the bus was slowing for some reason, but the bus failed to slow or stop in time. Multiple passengers were injured in this motor vehicle accident.

One person in the car that the bus reportedly rear ended was seriously injured. Thirty people on the bus suffered minor injuries. This situation could have been much worse. Even though more people were not seriously hurt, the one person that was, will likely face a long recovery from their injuries.

Sometimes the injuries that people suffer in a Texas motor vehicle accident are not life-threatening but they can greatly alter a person's lifestyle. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said the driver of the bus was improperly licensed, and this might be one element of the case that is focused on. Texas officials will complete an investigation to determine the exact cause. If a person is injured because of a negligent driver, they might be wise to speak with an experienced personal injury attorney who can help them understand their rights and possibly seek compensation.
