Common sense would dictate that a driver who strikes a pedestrian should
stop and remain at the scene to help the injured party. But as hard as
it may be to believe, there are people who will not take responsibility
for their actions behind the wheel.
In El Paso, police are asking the public to help them track down a hit-and-run
driver. The driver reportedly struck and seriously
injured a female pedestrian. Witnesses say the vehicle in question was a dark brown or gray SUV.
According to investigators, the woman was crossing an intersection while
walking her dog. She was struck and knocked to the ground by the vehicle.
It is said that the car also ran over the woman’s foot. Sadly, the
dog was killed in the accident.

and hopefully the El Paso police will be able to bring the driver in this
story to justice. An accident of this kind can leave victims with catastrophic
injuries. They may require prolonged hospital care and rehabilitation.
