Fees And Expenses

Fees

Most personal injury cases are represented on a contingent basis. We do not charge a fee unless a recovery is obtained on behalf of the client. At our firm, this is the most common fee arrangement.

The amount of the fee depends on the complexity of the case. Many clients or potential clients believe that the amount of the percentage is the most important part in choosing an attorney. We believe the most important part of choosing an attorney is the attorney’s record and ability to recover damages on behalf of their client. In choosing an attorney, ask whether or not your attorney has a trial record. At our firm, we believe in representing clients and taking the representation of the client as far as is necessary to recover a satisfactory result. Our experience has indicated that being prepared to try a case will often lead to a satisfactory settlement.

Expenses

Expenses in minor cases are often small, sometimes less than $100.00. In cases that are filed in a court of law, and serious cases, the expenses can run into the tens of thousands of dollars. In a successful result, the expenses are usually taken out of the settlement. At The Law Offices of Tyler & Peery, if we are unsuccessful in your case, we do not charge expenses in most cases. The issue of expenses should be negotiated with your attorney of choice prior to hiring the attorney.
